[exsilium] IC contact
Hey, this is Yosuke! Sorry for missing your call, but I'll get back to you ASAP. Peace!
[ooc: and even if the player takes a hundred years to reply, please feel free to assume that Yosuke is super fast at replies. Also, I would love to type IC-ly for Yosuke but thatmighttakesomepracticesobearwithme]

[ GOOD LUCK, YOSUKE. FIGHT ON. She's really insistent. Better hope Jiraiya really comes to his rescue this time. ]
no subject
Well, yeah but where are we even going to go? The people here aren't exactly friendly towards us even though you and I should be okay since we're still human but... Yeah, I don't know. Did you have a place in mind?
no subject
We can find an open area from there.
[ So they are fighting in the cold... ah... ]
no subject
... [then there's a sigh, then with a touch of resigned amusement. She's probably just trying to help... and it's probably better he get his ass beat by someone he knows versus dying on a mission, right? Right??? ... cries softly] There's no talking my way out of this, huh?
All right. I'll see you by the docks. Go easy on me, okay? I am, like, basically a complete amateur.
no subject
He will find her by the docks, eagerly putting on her ice skates while humming a tune. ]

[Yosuke's kind of grateful that he managed to get a hooded sweater to wear under his school uniform... Though he decided to leave his scarf behind because he didn't want it ruined. A Kamen Rider made it for him! It's like... his most prized possession!!
He has the hood pulled up over his head, his hands in his pockets and knives hanging off his belt. He sort of wishes he had his skiing jacket but it's fine. Okay, so maybe this was a bad idea... But 'Gyoku only meant well, so what could Yosuke say?]
... Hey! [and he jogs over to her- oh shit, he didn't bring skates]
no subject
Hello, Yosuke! Hm? Where are your skates?
[ she says this as she packs her boots into her bag. ]
no subject
... Hey, you look really cute in that outfit! [man, it's too bad he barely got to see the girls back home dress this cute (except Rise, but she's kind of in her own league)] But do you have any idea where we're going? ... and where I can borrow some spare skates?
no subject
[ She bows her head at the compliment, shying away from Yosuke as she tries to think. Her cheeks are red, so she doesn't want him to see! Back to the matter at hand—where can he borrow some spare skates, indeed? ]
I don't know, but... [ She takes her hairpin and holds it close. ] There's something I'd like to try.
no subject
Besides, the metal vessel she had was really cool! If she was going to kick his ass, then at least he should enjoy every moment he could stall for right?]
Huh? ... Should I step back and get out of the way?
[/jokingly]
no subject
[ She approaches him with a sweet smile and crouches when she's close enough, showing him an open palm. HE BETTER NOT RUN AWAY. ]
Your shoes.
no subject
He does, however, give his shoes a weird look before lifting up one foot in question] Sooo... Did you want them with my feet still in them? Because standing in the snow in my socks sounds like it's going to be a ton of fun.
[he's honestly curious as to what she's talking about. But Yosuke tends to run his mouth when he's nervous or excited so here was was, just blabbing away]
no subject
You can skate with this! Isn't it great?
no subject
[he looks at his shoe in shock because... yeah, sure this looked like it could work? Maybe? So maybe Yosuke had a few misgivings but he had to admit that-]
That's kinda cool. So uh... Both shoes right? Then we can get going!
[then, with a little less enthusiasm because oh god oh god ohgod he's going to die sob] ... find a place to train.
no subject
Yes. I saw a place when I was skating along the river. It was a wide open area—we can train there.
[ She glances up. ]
You use knives?
no subject
Yeah... haha sounds great... [a slight frown]
... Huh? Oh! [he takes a glance down at his weapons] Yeah, I do. It's a lot easier to sneak them around that way -- people aren't allowed to carry weapons around in my world. And it feels better to me, y'know?
no subject
I see. [ That man she met also used knives... Yosuke was an amateur, but maybe training with him will give her a better feel of his style.
She zaps the sole of Yosuke's other shoe with ice and asks, ] Why?
I mean, why do you fight?
no subject
Awesome!
... oh, uh... [he fiddles with his headphones briefly] Me and a few friends kinda had to? We picked it up along the way to protect ourselves, but it's not really normal... For my world anyway. [he smiles and laughs nervously] Going out and fighting with weapons? Not that common where I'm from!
no subject
Fighting isn't common where he's from, huh? Curious. ]
If it isn't normal, what do you protect yourselves from?
[ There must be a good reason for it! She doesn't know what he could kill with the measly equipment he has, though. Maybe he doesn't deal with monsters. ]
no subject
[he crosses his arms in thought, chewing on his lip]
Well... I guess I can tell you... Since you had dungeons too. [the turns to look at Kougyoku] But you can't tell anyone else, okay? Since I'm uh... [he scratches his cheek] Not 100% sure how this thing works.
That cool with you?
[hahaha 'cool' while they're out in the snow /facepalm]
no subject
Yes, it's all right. I already told you a secret of mine.
[ Friends sharing secrets! Fun. ]
no subject
Well... It's probably not that secret for you - dungeons and djinns and everything - but... There was a similar sort of thing in my world. Sort of? It's a world inside the TV - it's a machine that's kind of like the tablet, only you can't text or call people with it - and there are these monsters called 'Shadows' there.
[he sticks his hands in his pockets] So we had to figure out how to fight so we could defend ourselves when we went in to save someone. [a side glance] It's really complicated...
But that's why I said I'm a total noob at this fighting thing. Just making things up as I go!
no subject
So everything you know is only from hands-on experience. I think that's good. You already know what to expect in a real fight. [ She glances at him. ] Not many people do.
no subject
... I guess not... [well, he did have the bonus of a fighting tournament recently...]
Still. I think the rules here are a little different. So, ha, I don't know how useful that experience is gonna be.
no subject
[ Have more confidence, Yosuke! ... Like she can talk... ]
It's not too far now. I know I saw it when Yata and I went here.
